The Match
Sirius faced BK Häcken at Strandvallen and lost 4-3. It was the second consecutive defeat in Allsvenskan 2026 and the first loss of the season after a 4-3 loss to Mjällby in the previous round. The match started with an early goal for Häcken when Julius Lindberg placed a long-range shot after a pass from Mikkel Ryggard. About half an hour in, Gustav Lindgren extended the score to 2-1.
Injuries and Lineup
Sirius made a starting-lineup change after the loss to Mjällby. Andreas Engelmark chose to replace Otso Liimata, who was injured in that match, with Joakim Persson. Häcken also made a change due to an injury; Brice Wembangomo replaced Harun Ibrahim as right-back.
Goals and Development
After 45 minutes the score was 1-0 to Häcken. In the second half they doubled the lead when Adrian Svanbäck put the score to 0-3 after a counter-attack. Sirius tried to respond but could not recover, and the match finished 4-3 to Häcken. Sirius back Oscar Krusnell commented on the first half with: "We are playing our worst match this year."
Future
Sirius now has two consecutive losses in Allsvenskan and had been unbeaten until round 16. Hammarby leads the table with nine points, and Sirius will face Gais at home on Sunday in an attempt to bounce back. The match against Häcken shows the team needs more adjustments to regain form.
