Sirius is currently at the top of Allsvenskan with 32 points and 10 wins, 2 draws, and 0 losses from 12 matches. They lead the league by 9 points ahead of Hammarby FF. Their next match is away against Västerås SK FK on September 5.
Robbie Ure had a stellar evening at Studenternas. He showed that he hadn't been on the sidelines during the break and scored his first goal after 14 minutes. Marcus Lindberg broke a pass and sent the ball deep into Ure's path. The shot won the duel against Abdullah Iqbal, outmaneuvered Ludvig Tidstrand, and placed the ball in the net.
Directly after the break, it was time again. Isak Bjerkebo played the ball into the penalty area to Ure, who received it and shot in his second full hit of the evening. Five minutes later, the hattrick was complete after Ure shot in Samuel Adindus' pass. Mjällby reduced the lead by two goals, but Ure came forward again. In the 69th minute, he scored his fourth goal of the evening when he scored 4-2 from close range.
His four goals in 69 minutes make him the sole leader in the goal-scoring charts with 11 goals. - It felt like everything I touched would become a goal today, and that's the best feeling for an attacker, says Ure.
But it remains to be seen how many more goals it will be. Ure can, after all, leave Sirius in the summer. - This spring season has been the most fun I've had as a football player. It's a unique situation, because we're leading the league and I'm having a lot of fun here and feeling very confident. But as all players, I want to play as high up as possible, and if there's a chance to go to a top league, it's hard to say no. If something feels right for me, I'll definitely be interested, he says.
Do you think this was your last match for Sirius? - No, I don't think so. I think I'll play next week too. Ure says he's had a good conversation with Jonathan Ederström, head of Sirius's men's team. Ure says further that he's not stressed since it's a long transfer window and the focus is on Sirius.
Ederström says he's certainly aware of the great interest. - We'll see what happens during the summer. I think everyone understands that there's a lot of interest in players like Robbie and several of our players. But the most important thing is that we have a strong team during the fall, he says.
A few days ago, Sirius signed Jesper Uneken, who also plays as a nia. - A good player. A pure nia as we see it, with many qualities that we value highly in a nia in terms of our playing style. It feels great that he's here, says Ederström.
What's next?
According to Ure, it's a straightforward potential replacement. - I think it's pretty clear that Sirius needs to be prepared for when I leave. I'm not thinking about it much, but I understand that they need to be ready with a replacement if I leave. He's ready next week and we'll see what happens, he says.
Despite Ure's four goals, it ended 4-4 after a late equalizer by Mjällby. - It was a big match for me personally. But it's clear that when we score four goals, we expect to win the match. Especially at home. Slipping in four goals is, to be honest, unacceptable for a team that leads the league, says Ure.
