Sirius travel to Gothenburg to face Gais in the Allsvenskan on Saturday with an eight-point lead at the top of the table. The Uppsala side are unbeaten in their last five league games and won the most recent meeting with Gais 2-1 back in May.
Sirius lead the standings with 51 points from 22 games, having won four of their last five. Their most recent outing was a 1-1 friendly draw against Brøndby last week, where Marcus Lindberg found the net. Gais sit in tenth place and are coming off a 3-0 away win against Mjällby.
Sirius are in strong form with four consecutive league wins before the break. Their striker, R. Ure, is the league's top scorer with 15 goals in 15 appearances. The visitors can rely on a solid defence that has conceded only 28 goals this season.
The match kicks off at Gamla Ullevi at 15:00 on Saturday. Sirius's full fixtures list and current squad are available to follow on our site. A victory would further tighten their grip on the title.
IK Sirius U21 lost their Ligacupen match against IFK Norrköping 1-2 at Bälinge IP on October 8. Munaser Mohamud gave Sirius the lead in the 38th minute, but Norrköping turned it around after William Bergman's equalizer and Melwin Cupan's winning goal in the 88th minute. The Sirius senior side, who lead Allsvenskan with 51 points, face Gais away on Saturday.
