IK Sirius are searching for a new technical director and have reportedly identified Hammarby's Adrian von Heijne as a target. The club is without leadership after John Swäed left for Djurgården and senior team manager Jonathan Ederström did not extend his contract.
Sirius currently sit top of Allsvenskan with 51 points from 22 games. The team has won four of its last five matches and faces Gais away on October 10th.
Jesper Jansson, the football chief at IFK Göteborg, has also resigned. He has stated he will remain until a replacement is found or until the end of the year. Göteborg is also said to be one of the clubs interested in von Heijne.
For Sirius, the search represents a key piece of preparation for the remainder of the season. The club's strong league position, holding an eight-point lead over Hammarby, makes the role particularly attractive. The transfer window is closed, allowing the club to focus on building its backroom staff. Check out the full squad list to see the current roster.
